Bangkok--30 Sep--Bangkok Bank Travelling on the BTS is now easier than ever with a new top-up service launched by Bangkok Bank in conjunction with BTS. The new service allows cardholders of a Be1st-BTS card, Blue Wave credit card and BTS SmartPass card to add credit to their card for SkyTrain travel using a Bangkok Bank ATM at any BTS station. The new service allows cardholders to top up their cards quick and easily. Bangkok Bank Senior Vice President Suwanna Usanachitt announced the successful launch of the new service and added that the bank has installed the BTS Top-up service at ATMs located near BTS stations as well as at all BTS stations. In total 50 Bualuang ATMs around Bangkok feature the BTS Top-up service. Customers can use the Bualuang ATM BTS Top-up service to top up their BTS travel purse on their cards to the value of Baht 100—2,000. “This is the second phase of our relationship with SkyTrain operator Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) after the achivement of the Be1st-BTS card, the first and only card in Thailand to combine an ATM, debit and BTS card in one. Like the Be1st-BTS card we hope this new service provides customers with greater convenience and speeds up their day-to-day travel,” said Mrs Usanachitt. BTS Chief Operating Officer Surapong Laoha-unya said he was very excited by the latest achievement of Bangkok Bank and BTS, which will provide commuters with greater convenience. Customers can use Bangkok Bank’s Bualuang ATMs to top up the BTS travel purse on their BTS SmartPass with a specified amount or they can purchase a travel package. The service also means Bangkok Bank customers with an ATM card, Be1st debit card or Blue Wave credit card no longer have to wait in long queues in rush hour at BTS stations to top up their BTS purse from the office service counters. Mrs Usanachitt says the top-up process is easy and can be done in a few steps. “There are two ways that people can top up the BTS travel purse on their cards. Firstly if they are using their Be1st or BBL ATM card they need to insert their card into the ATM, enter the pin number, and then select ‘Other’. Select ‘Payment’ and then select the account which they intend to use, select ‘BTS Top up’, select ‘Top up to another BTS card’, place their BTS SmartPass card or Blue Wave credit card on the BTS top-up reader and follow the steps on screen to complete the transaction. “If they are using a Be1st-BTS card then after selecting ‘Payment’ and the account they intend to use, they need to select ‘BTS Top up’ and then choose ‘Top up to your card’. Once selecting this option they must take their Be1st-BTS card out from the card reader slot and place it on the BTS top up reader and follow the steps on screen to complete the transaction,” says Mrs Usanachitt. Bangkok Bank is continuing to work hard to understand and meet customers’ needs with new products and services.
