The Secretariat of Asia Spa & Wellness Festival 2009 Gold Awards recently announces a call for nominations for awards it is offering in 2009.
Asia Spa & Wellness Festival Gold Awards are the region’s most prestigious awards recognizing outstanding and innovative achievements and extraordinary acts by spas, wellness centres and resorts across the region.
A total number of 27 categories revealed and they are Best Day Spa, Best Hotel Spa, Best Resort Spa, Best Destination Spa, Best Medical Spa, Best New Spa, Best Spa Ambience, Best Spa Experience, Best Signature Treatment, Best Traditional Treatment, Best Spa Education, Best Spa Group, Best Spa Skin Care, Best Spa Body Care, Best Spa Hair Care, Best Spa Nail Care, Best Spa Product Brand, Best Wellness Centre, Best Wellness Treatment, Best Wellness Experience, Best Wellness Programme, Best Wellness Tourism Programme, Best Alternative Healing, Best Fitness Centre, Best Fitness Programme, Best Yoga Centre, and Best Yoga Programme.
Recipients or Winners of the Awards are selected based on one or more of the pre-determined Awards parameter, achievements, operational years, mystery visit, and product sampling. Weightings are given in the following areas: spa ambience, design and cleanliness; customer service, staff presentation, product knowledge and value; pre-treatment, treatment (technique, execution and efficacy) and post-treatment; treatment menu, products used, spa cuisine (where applicable) and spa retail (where applicable).
The nomination submission will be judged by a panel comprising noted social personalities, editors of regional spa publications, tour operators and spa enthusiasts and will be audited by the official audit firm. Submission of nomination closed on 31 December 2008.
The Awards will be presented to the recipients / winners during the Asia Spa & Wellness Festival 2009 Gala Dinner on 21 March 2009 in the land of smiles — Thailand whereby recipients will receive the coveted Gold Awards Trophy and certificate of achievement.
