Mr. Kamol Juntima, Chairman of the Board, IT CITY Public Company Limited reported the year 2008’s first nine months company’s performance that the company’s total revenue was 4,538.16 million Baht with the growth of 8.33% and the net profit of 144.04 million Baht with the growth of 21.22% comparing to the same period of the year 2007.
As for the third quarter of the year 2008, the company shown the total revenue of 1,632.67 million Baht with the growth of 7.7% and the net profit of 57.20 million Baht with the growth of 8.11% comparing to the same period of the year 2007.
The key reasons for the continuous growth of IT CITY are: 1. The consumer IT market is growing continuously and IT CITY has got well accepted from the customers either home users or SMEs 2. Since IT CITY has continuously expanded its new branches, the increasing revenue will come from both new and existing branches. 3. IT CITY has now become the Thailand largest and abreast of the time one stop shopping IT center. 4. IT CITY has got more direct support from both domestic and foreign suppliers. 5. IT CITY is focusing in retail business; the area that IT CITY is specialist, which will make IT CITY gain the competitive edge in term of Economy of Scale 6. IT products are the products that are used to increase the efficiency for both business and learning, therefore, it is resultant to the continuous increase in purchasing power.
In the third quarter, the company had discontinued one branch at Jusco — Rachadapisek which made the company had total 32 branches. In the fourth quarter, the company will continue to expand 2 more branches at Nongkai province and Laem Chabang, Chonburi province as well as new products to serve the home and corporate customers and will control our expenditure appropriately to the economic situation and the company’s revenue capability.
