Bangkok--18 Nov--Bumrungrad International
After 12 years relationship, Bumrungrad International Extends AMS Contract for Five Years.
Maintaining Consistent Medical Equipment Performance and Continued Cost Control were the Key Drivers for the Decision.
Since 1996 or 12 years ago Bumrungrad International (BI) has outsourced the management of their medical equipment to Asset Management Systems. During this 12 years has BI has been ensured that their medical equipment are working accurately and safely while controlling costs. So by continued of efficiency of this management by AMS, BI agrees to extend AMS contract for another five years.
BI, an internationally accredited hospital which is the largest private hospital in Southeast Asia that serves over a million patients annually. BI was the first Asian hospital accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the international arm of the organization that reviews and accredits American hospitals. Their checklist includes over 350 standards, for everything from surgical hygiene and anesthesia procedures to the systems in place to credential medical staff and nurses. JCI sends a team to re-review hospitals at 3-year intervals; BI had been third re-accredited in March 2008. Over 400,000 are internationals so many international presses have shown that BI is a leader in medical tourism in Thailand. One of the keys to Bumrungrad success is partnering with outsourcing organizations that are leaders within their respective industries.
BI management has renewed their relationship with Asset Management Systems for another five years after reviewed all performance of AMS and decided it was in the best interest of their patients, staff and shareholders to extend the AMS relationship. The new agreement will continually control spending while providing guaranteed levels of equipment performance. AMS still has been fully responsible for the equipment performance and associated support costs for all medical equipment used at Bumrungrad International.
AMS has been a solid BI partner since 1996 and has maintained more than 3,000 pieces of medical equipment in a cost effective manner so that doctors and staff of BI can provide world class medical treatment with the confidence that their equipment is well maintained.
Strategic outsourcing relationships between BI and AMS have proven to help hospitals save money and improve their efficiency. As hospitals operating costs continue to increase and budgets remain constrained, it is anticipated that many more hospitals will consider Strategic Outsourcing options such as the relationship between Bumrungrad and Asset Management Systems.
