Thailand’s leading gold investment consultant firm — is offering a direct debit gold payment service for the first time in Thailand. To ensure convenience and safety in gold investments, KBank trade partners will be provided with confirmation of transactions via e-mail and SMS.
Mr. Songpol Chevapanyaroj, First Senior Vice President, KASIKORNBANK, said in a recent interview that purchases of gold as a long-term investment have gained in popularity with many investors. Investing in this precious metal, however, normally requires the use of large cash payments through a secure and reliable payment system between traders and investors.
KASIKORNBANK — a leading provider of innovative financial services — has recently formed an alliance with Ausiris, the Thai leader in bullion production and distribution, to launch a gold direct debit payment platform for Ausiris clients, the first of its kind in Thailand.
Through the KBank Direct Debit system, Ausiris can submit a debiting instruction to KBank upon the investor’s confirmation of a purchase. After an investor’s account has been debited, the system will send an SMS to the buyer to confirm payment and email Ausiris on confirmation of the payment, as well. Subsequently, Ausiris will deliver the purchased bullion to the investor.
Real-time transactions made between KBank and trade partners ensure the accurate and complete payments are made, offering convenience to investors, and saving them time and travel. With the automated system, investors need not to be present at a Bank branch or carry cash to pay at Ausiris.
Mr. Boonlert Siripatvanich, CEO, Ausiris Co. Ltd., says that the one-stop bullion trading service is being provided to around 4,000-5,000 members of Ausiris and that number is on the rise. As a result, the company’s gold transactions are increasing each month. The direct debit system will help ensure increased efficiency for the company’s financial management while providing an accurate and secure payment system to investors. Interested gold investors can now apply for the direct debit service with Ausiris Co. Ltd.
In addition, KBank and Ausiris together plan to launch the Ausiris Membership Card, an exclusive card that will offer convenience to cardholders in their payments at KBank branches or via K-ATMs across the country.
