Automaker to Unveil Latest AVEO E20, the ‘small car, BIG design’ and Announce Unbeatable Promotional Campaigns on Optra CNG and Captiva at Motor Expo 2008
Chevrolet continues to display its dominance as the world’s leading manufacturer of alternative fuel vehicles with the unveiling of the world’s first plug-in electric car, the Chevrolet Volt, for Thai motorists at this year’s Motor Expo 2008. Designed under the concept ‘The Exceptional Future of Alternative Fuel’, the Chevy Volt is another example of Chevrolet’s commitment to more environmentally friendly motoring. The automaker will also launch a new version of its ‘small car, BIG design’, the Chevrolet AVEO E20 as well as announce special promotional packages for anyone who orders a Chevrolet Optra CNG or Chevrolet Captiva at the Motor Expo, which runs from November 29 — December 10, 2008.
In its final major event of the year, Chevrolet is proud to present the world’s first plug-in electric car, Chevrolet Volt.
“We have differentiated ourselves from other automakers by our unstinting commitment to the development and introduction of alternative fuel technology and environmentally friendly vehicles,”
said Antonio Zara, Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Aftersales Service, Chevrolet Sales (Thailand) Ltd. “With our superior levels of innovation, service, and safety, motorists know they can feel confident every time they get behind the wheel of any model of Chevrolet, We are delighted with the response to our 2-system vehicles configured to run on both CNG and traditional fuels and also with the amazing feedback we received after our “Thailand Environment and Energy Automotive Technology Symposium” in August.
We are using this positive response as our inspiration to continue developing environmentally friendly alternative fuel vehicles for consumers around the world”
Chevrolet will also take this opportunity to officially launch the Chevrolet AVEO E20. This is the latest version of the ‘small car, BIG design’, with every model configured to run on gasoline, Gasohol E10 or E20. To assure the readiness of the AVEO E20, engineers at Chevrolet have completely overhauled the vehicle, changing seals, pumps, pipes and gauges to ensure it runs smoothly on the new fuel and to prevent any possible erosion from the ethanol.
Chevrolet is introducing its new AVEO E20 with a range of attractive promotional price packages starting at only 500,000 Baht for the 1.4 MT BASE to a competitive 679,000 Baht for the top of the range 1.4 AT LUX. Apart from the new AVEO E20, the company will also be exhibiting its Colorado pick-up truck and Colorado CNG, Chevrolet Captiva multipurpose SUV, its popular 2-mode Sedan Chevrolet Optra CNG and the popular Chevrolet Optra Estate CNG.
Chevrolet will also announce its latest nationwide campaigns during Motor Expo 2008. Those reserving a Chevrolet Optra CNG will receive their first six monthly payments free and those booking a Chevrolet Captiva multipurpose SUV will receive the lowest interest of only 0.99% plus one year first class insurance for free.
In addition, tempting packages will also be on offer for other models such as the Chevrolet Colorado and Chevrolet AVEO.
As well as the full complement of vehicles, the Chevrolet booth will also host an ‘Electric Dance’ performance to convey the electric power used to drive the Chevy Volt — the highlight of this year’s Motor Expo. Chevrolet invites everyone to come and meet the new star of the motoring world, along with the full range of Chevy vehicles with special promotion packages at the 25th Motor Expo at Impact Muangthong Thani between November 29 - December10, 2008.
