Bangkok--3 Dec--Spark Communications CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has signed a new contract with CenCar Ltd. (Carrefour Thailand) to provide its delivery and supply chain management services in the retail and consumer goods segment. Under the scope of the contract, CEVA will manage a nationwide delivery network to supply multiple dry goods deliveries to all of Carrefour's stores in Thailand. The operation will be headquartered in Bangkok, where CEVA will operate with a combined fleet including Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV) which is currently the cleanest way of transportation. This contract builds on CEVA’s significant global relationship with Carrefour and reinforces its strong retail experience in Thailand. Mr Gilles Sogny, Distribution Center Manager CenCar Ltd., commented: “To maintain our industry-leading positions as one of Thailand’s favorite retailers, and to meet the growing demand for our products by Thai consumers, our day-to-day logistics operation is key to ensure the needs of Carrefour shoppers are met. To meet these requirements, CEVA is the best choice for our business in Thailand.” Mr. Winfried Kiesbueye, Country General Manager, CEVA Thailand stated: “We will work closely with Carrefour to provide secure, reliable and cost-effective supply chain management services in managing their domestic transportation needs.
