Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced an increase of flights on domestic sector to meet passengers’ demand during this upcoming New Year’s holidays.
ACM Narongsak Sangapong, THAI’s Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretariat and THAI’s acting President stated that during the New Year’s holidays, THAI will increase flights to better serve passenger travel demands between 26 December 2008 to 4 January 2009. The company will increase flight frequencies and will change to larger aircraft types on flights to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phuket and Krabi. There will be an increment of 29 flights with an additional 12,036 seats, bringing the total seat capacity to 121,692 seats, with details as follows:
Bangkok — Chiang Mai v.v.:
Increase of 6 flights, with additional of 3,114 seats.
Bangkok — Chiang Rai v.v.:
Increase of 2 flights, with additional of 1,104 seats.
Bangkok — Phuket v.v.:
Increase of 10 flights, with additional of 5,638 seats
Don Mueang — Phuket v.v.:
Increase of 2 flights with additional of 596 seats
Bangkok — Krabi v.v.:
Increase of 4 flights with additional of 1,548 seats.
Passengers are requested to be at the airport 3-4 hours before departure time due to traffic congestion during holidays.
