“JRO” launches its first Bangkok office to develop and strengthen Japanese food’s business in Thailand

Bangkok--16 Feb--Pris Priority Organization to Promote Japanese Restaurants Aboard or JRO has recently officially announced its first JRO office in Thailand with significant guests Mr. Kato Kazutaka and Mr. Asai Yasumaza representative of Thailand’s JRO presiding. Along with the launch, JRO also held a seminar under the title “Current Situation and Problems in Japanese Restaurant Business” with 500 Japanese restaurant entrepreneurs participating at Inter Continental Hotel. JRO is a non profit organization, established to enhance Japanese restaurant business in foreign countries to promote Japanese food in global scale. JRO has expanded its office in 10 countries. As for Thailand, JRO has just launched its office to help support 1,000 Japanese eateries run by 500 entrepreneur country wide. JRO has held various useful functions, such as seminars on problems found in the business, management schemes, proper Japanese cuisine, hygienic standards, importing materials from Japan and suggested solution to cope with the economic downfall — all to make sure that the consumers get the best product and service. At the official launch event, JRO also held an grand seminar on “Current Situation and Problems in Japanese Restaurant Business” for 500 entrepreneurs in Thailand. Mr. Kato Kazutaka, President & CEO, Japan Food Service Association stated the subject of the organization that JRO carries missions to support Japanese restaurant entrepreneurs worldwide and promote Japanese food in global scale. JRO in Thailand is encouraging entrepreneurs in the country to achieve highest benefit for the consumers. Mr. Asai Yasumaza, Branch Manager , JRO Thailand added the roles of the office that JRO operates freely to pass on the charm of Japanese cuisine to the world and at the same time sets standards for Japanese restaurants. The aim is to ensure that 1,000 Japanese eateries run by 500 owners re functioning properly and render themselves as Japanese culinary ambassador to the world. JRO’s schemes include: ? Management and membership system ? Collect and exchange information as well as creating questionnaires relating to food service in Thailand ? Publicize academic materials to better Japanese cooking techniques ? Hold seminars and workshops concerning cooking technique, hygienic standards featuring specialized speakers from Japan ? Enhance personnel by an exchange program between cooking schools and associations in Thailand ? Support efficient logistics of imported food from Japan ?
