This year’s first listing on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) will be Absolute Impact PCL, provides in-store media services and production, which is the first 3D digital signage provider in Thailand.
The firm will spend the THB88 million (approx. USD 2.5 million) raised to buy equipment for its digital signs and computer systems, enabling it to provide integrated media production; invest in the uNetwork project of the Commission on Higher Education, and add to its working capital. The company will be listed and start trading on the Market for Alternative Investment (mai) on February 19. It will be the first listing on mai as well as SET.
“The securities of Absolute Impact PCL will use ‘AIM’ as its trading symbol,” said SET Group Head, Issuer & Listing Department Chanitr Charnchainarong.
AIM has total paid-up capital of THB 280 million (approx. USD 7.9 million), consisting of 200 million existing common shares and 80 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB 1.00 each. At its initial public offering (IPO) on February 2-5 and February 10-12, the company raised THB 88 million by offering 23 million shares to its existing major shareholder, Adamas Incorporation PCL (ADAM), and 57 million shares to the general public at THB 1.10 per share. Adkinson Securities PCL was its financial advisor and underwriter.
The company’s price/earning (P/E) ratio is 7.33, while mai’s P/E ratio in the three months ending January 23, 2009 was at 7.44. As of September 30, 2008, the company’s book value was at THB1.24 per share (as indicated in the company’s prospectus), based on 9M/08 net profit (annualized), divided by its paid-up capital after IPO (Fully diluted), or 280 million shares. AIM’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 40% of its net profit after taxes and legal reserves as dividends.
After the IPO, the principal shareholders in AIM are Adamas Incorporation (ADAM), Ms. Pitchuda Chan, and Mr. Suthee Taworntawat, who hold 53.57%, 4.82% and 4.82%, respectively.
