CS LoxInfo reported a net profit from the Separated Financial Statement for 2008 of Baht 382 million or Baht 0.66 per share. During 2008, CS Loxinfo paid dividend totaling Baht 0.50 per share. This consisted of firstly, an interim dividend for 2008 of Baht 0.23 per share, and second, a special dividend Baht 0.27 per share. After making those payments, CS Loxinfo had remaining retained earnings of Baht 128 million or Baht 0.22 per share. CS Loxinfo Board of Directors passed a resolution to recommend to the Shareholders’ Annual General Meeting, for the payment of dividends for the year 2008 of Baht 0.22 per share. The proposed dividend must be approved by the shareholders at their meeting.
In 2008, the Company recognized an extraordinary gain from liquidation of a subsidiary of Baht 141 million in the Separated Financial Statement. For the consolidated performance, CS Loxinfo reports consolidated revenue to the amount of Baht 2,664 million, an increase of 3% over last year. Moreover, CS Loxinfo reported a consolidated net profit of Baht 161 million, a decrease from last year due to extraordinary expenses of Baht 81 million and an increase of cost, selling and marketing expenses.
For Q4/2008, CS Loxinfo reports consolidated revenue of Baht 678 million, roughly equivalent to that in Q3/2008. Moreover, CS Loxinfo reported Q4/2008 consolidated earnings before tax and interest (EBIT) of Baht 56 million. The contributions came from internet business amounting to Baht 18 million, the Thailand YellowPages amounting to Baht 23 million and the Print Classified Business of Baht 18 million. However, the Company had extraordinary expenses of Baht 65 million in this quarter.
For the business direction in 2009, in anticipation of a weakened economy, CL Loxinfo will place emphasis on efficient cost and expenses management and control and more conservative in risk management and revenue collection. In term of selling and marketing, CS Loxinfo shall focus on maintain the current customer base and expand its market into the segments that CS Loxinfo has only competitive potential.
