Kerry Express, a division of Kerry Logistics Thailand, today announced that it is targeting growth in the triple digits for the coming year and is launching a recruitment campaign to service the increasing demand for its services in the Thai market.
A stark contrast to that of many companies which are currently scaling back operations, Kerry Express’ management sites domestic growth, both in Bangkok and up-country, as the major reason for its optimism for the coming year.
For the coming year, Kerry Express is doubling nightly shipping capacity through its GPS equipped fleet of vehicles. In addition to the increase in frequency and capacity on its network, many of the company’s current 20 cross dock locations will be expanded with a further 5 cross docks scheduled to come online in the near future. In addition, Kerry's first ‘forward’ stock location in Khon Kaen opened in January and the company will see 3 more locations added at other strategic locations in the country.

This expansion will increase the service area for its guaranteed morning delivery service, allowing customers greater flexibility to strategically locate stock and spares around the nation. Furthermore, bar-coded scanning on consignment notes and actual boxes is being implemented this month. This allows customers to see in real-time where in the Kerry Nationwide network any consignment is.
With its multilingual web-based tracking software and online SQI reports available to its customers, Kerry's mission of providing "world class" distribution service is realised.
