Bangkok--12 Mar--
Netpreeya Musigchai Chumchaiyo or commonly known as “Kru Kate” came to FM 104.75 station last week to spill the beans for her fans about her life and how she became the pioneer in guiding Thai people to speak English.
Kru Kate had her struggling days as she became unaccustomed to both faces and accents of the Americans back when she went to Loyola Marymount University in California. With fear of failing the masters program, she picked up the technique of learning the speech during her baby-sit jobs. It became clear that learning the natural way is the best way to break the fear of speaking English with foreigners.
During the program, she cracked jokes on herself a lot and encouraged the Thais to overcome their fear like she did. Now she is one of the successful women who published many books on English speaking, and own an English language school that expands into several branches now.
This energetic lady has long experience in media world like News Lines and Krongsatanakarn on Ch. 11. With her Director position at the Department of Export Promotion at the Ministry of Commerce, she also performs as bilingual MC in both public and private affairs.
In photo, Kru Kate photographed with her half sister, Aj. Ann-Chatchanit Musigchai Mahaguna, DJ Oui-Itchaya Liangchayet, and the owner of the station, Achara Kanasutra. You can chat with kru Kate herself at her website www.krukate.com .
