At the recent Bayer Schering Pharma ‘Symposium of Love Levitra 8 Years Experience’ Professor Farid Saad M.D., a world-renowned expert on men’s health and erectile dysfunction from Scientific Affairs Men’s Healthcare, Bayer Schering Pharma, said that Thai men with decreasing sexual desire and erectile dysfunction may have some underlying serious health issues such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and hypertension. Professor Farid also recommended Thai men who experience erectile dysfunction to have their testosterone level checked and to seek professional medical treatment.
“When we compared men of the same age, we found that men with Testosterone-Deficiency Syndrome (TDS) are statistically 2.3 times more likely to have insulin resistance and diabetes than normal men. We also learned that the number of patients suffering from erectile dysfunction together with diabetes is as high as 35%. In addition, erectile dysfunction can be a sign of underlying heart disease and hypertension as evidenced by the statistics that show 68.3% of hypertension patients also suffer from erectile dysfunction. More importantly, research revealed that men who experience erectile dysfunction will, on average, encounter heart and cardiovascular diseases within a period of three years,” said Professor Farid.
Testosterone-Deficiency Syndrome (TDS) can be treated such as with the world’s first injectable formulation of testosterone which acts effectively in restoring men’s overall health in the long run. Patients are encouraged to receive the injectable hormone only four times a year to normalise testosterone levels. “Thai men over 40 who are experiencing lower sexual desire and lack of energy, mood swings, physical tiredness and lack of sleep should consult a physician and have their testosterone level checked.
