BMW Group Thailand demonstrates engineering superiority with EfficientDynamics technology and to unveil 5 new models at the 30th Bangkok International Motor Show.
BMW Thailand plans to unveil 5 new products at the 30th Bangkok International Motor Show; consisting of the new BMW 7 Series, the new BMW Z4 Roadster, the new BMW 3 Series, MINI Convertible, and BMW Motorcycle HP2 Sports.
Mr. Michael Kordys, president of BMW Group Thailand said “In response to the event concept ‘Green Life on Wheels’ of the 30th Bangkok International Motor Show, BMW Thailand showcases its engineering superiority with EfficientDynamics technology, which delivers higher fuel efficiency, lower emission yet greater driving dynamics.”
Highlights of 5 new products on BMW Group Thailand’s stand are the followings:
New BMW 7 Series. The new BMW 7 Series; BMW 750Li (THB 15,699,000) and BMW 740Li (THB 12,999,000), will make the debut in this event. Engineered to be the best-in-class luxury saloon, the new BMW 7 Series not only has the graceful presence and top-class comfort, but it also features the most advanced innovations. Both models come with the high-performance yet highly efficient and environmental-friendly engines, as well as safety and comfort enhancing technologies such as the Integral Active Steering and Night Vision.
The Integral Active Steering is an intelligent steering system that greatly increases vehicle stability at high speed and maneuverability at low speed, hence, more comfort and more safety. The new Night Vision is enhanced with the capability to detect pedestrian direction and speed and is able to give a pre-warning to the driver of an individual person or animal with a movement in the direction that could potentially be a hazard.
Once again, the new BMW 7 Series takes the lead in the luxury saloon segment with the introduction of the BMW Navigation System Professional, available in both BMW 750Li and BMW 740Li.
- BMW 750Li: V8 4.4-liter petrol engine with Twin Turbo and High Precision Injection; maximum output of 407 hp; maximum torque of 600 Newton-meters / 1,750-4,500 rpm; acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds; fuel economy of 8.8 kilometers per liter and CO2 emission of 266 grams per kilometer.
- BMW 740Li: In-line 6-cylinder 3.0-liter engine petrol engine with Twin Turbo and High Precision Injection; maximum output of 326 hp; maximum torque of 450 Newton-meters / 1,500-4,500 rpm; acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds; fuel economy of 10.0 kilometers per liter and CO2 emission of merely 235 grams per kilometer.
New BMW Z4 Roadster. This refined roadster that harmonizes the charming design of classic roadster and the modern technology offers the best-in-class driving dynamics with its balanced chassis and rear-wheel-drive concept. It features the light-weight retractable hardtop that can open/close within 20 seconds. And especially for the golfers, the new BMW Z4 Roaster offers enough space for 2 full-size golf bags (with roof closed).
- BMW Z4 sDrive23i: In-line 6-cylinder 2.5-liter engine petrol engine with VALTRONIC technology; maximum output of 204 hp; maximum torque of 250 Newton-meters / 2,750 rpm; acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds; fuel economy of 11.2 kilometers per liter and CO2 emission of merely 207 grams per kilometer.
New BMW 3 Series. This “Sports Sedan” that has been the benchmark comes with the revised design that reflects ever more of its sportiness, young and dynamics. With the new bonnet, headlights and rear lights, bumpers, and wider track, the new BMW 3 Series expresses its superiority in power and agility. BMW Thailand offers 3 models variants: BMW 320d (THB 2,899,000), BMW 320i (THB 2,649,000), and BMW 318i (THB 2,399,000).
New MINI Convertible. The ‘go-kart feeling’ driving fun and individual style so typical of the MINI are now being combined once again with all the flair and refreshment of driving in the open air, the new MINI Convertible offering this unique rendition of motoring freedom in particularly intense style. Never compromise style with innovations, the new MINI Convertible features the class-leading safety technology: Active Rollbar, which greatly enhances safety (in case of rollover), optimum visibility to the rear, as well as the sharper look. MINI Thailand offers 2 models variants: MINI Cooper S Convertible (THB 3,200,000) and MINI Cooper Convertible (THB 2,800,000).
BMW Motorcycle HP2 Sport. The dream of many Boxer fans has come true: the new BMW HP2 Sport the sportiest, most powerful and lightest Boxer series of all times on the road. From racing circuits to normal roads, the HP2 Sport carries a wide range of racing motorbike technologies: light-weight carbon-fiber body, the gear shift assistant, a dashboard like that used in the MotoGP, the forged aluminium wheels and the Brembo monoblock racing brakes. With its powerful 133-hp engine and merely 178 kilograms, the HP2 Sport sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.1 seconds. (THB 1,390,000; Limited Edition 10 units in Thailand).
