AIT entrusts Sodexo with Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Services at its main campus in Pathum Thani

Bangkok--3 Apr--AIT Sodexo have just signed a landmark agreement with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to provide Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services at the institute’s main campus at Pathum Thani, Thailand for the coming 5 years. Sodexo adds AIT to its 5,000-plus educational sites in its global portfolio of clients. Sodexo’s strong global reputation and credibility in providing award-winning IFM services has convinced AIT that it can significantly improve the quality of support services at its campus, located north of Bangkok. The scope of IFM services cover major non-core support services of AIT that include: technical engineering services, waste water treatment, management of transportation services, grounds keeping and landscaping, catering, laundry services, management of the Convention Center, sports facilities, campus post office and the on-campus staff and student accommodation. AIT’s main campus spans over 160 hectares and houses over 2,300 students and 600 full-time academic and support staff. AIT decided to outsource these non-core support services in order to further improve its infrastructure services to international standards while focusing on its core activities of teaching and learning, research and outreach.
