B2S Thailand’s leading books, magazine, stationery, and entertainment media retailer has announced its launch “B2S Back to School” with “Most-Wanted” promotional items of stationery. The most attractive promotional highlights are “Buy 1 get 1 free” and “more 2,000 discount-priced-items” from today to 27th May 2009.
Furthermore, the company introduced its first —time ever marketing event “B2S Expo 2009”, held from 6th — 12th May 2009 at VDO Wall promotional area, 1st floor Central Plaza Lad Prao. The company aims to increase the purchasing mood before student’s new academic year. The B2S Expo 2009 is expected to earn 5% sale growth of the second quarter.
B2S ’s Managing Director, Dean Thompson reveals “ During the second quarter, B2S has created several activities to welcome school and university’s new academic year from the end of April onward under “B2S Back to School” campaign at 67 B2S stores nationwide. The campaign comprise of more than 2,000 participating items, among which 250 items part of “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” and “Saver Pack”. Moreover, more than 10 marketing events led by “B2S Expo 2009”are organized. We expect that the strong promotion and marketing events generate 5% growth to sale figures of the second quarter.”
B2S Expo 2009, the first-time ever stationery fair is scheduled from 6th to 12th May 2009 at VDO Wall promotional area, 1st floor, Central Plaza Lad Prao, featuring B2S supplier alliances and exclusive discount up to 70%, plus other giveaways. Around 10 events are in the pipeline to increase the company sale volume during May-June.
B2S’s Vice President for Marketing, Varit Charunyanonda says “60% of our customers are students and parents, therefore, we organize “B2S Back to School” to indulge them with special priced items of “B2S Most Wanted” promotion, for example, “Buy 1 Get 1 Free”, “Saver Pack” and more than 250 discounted items, with the cheapest price from 10 Baht. More benefits in this campaign, customers will receive a 35 Baht cash coupon for their next purchase when purchase 500 Baht. Talking about event marketing strategies this year, we have planed to have B2S Expo 2009 and 10 more events which granted great supports from suppliers providing over 50 brands participation, with discounts up to 70%, premium and benefit offering. ”
Thompson adds “We intend to strengthen B2S position as the leader in Thailand for stationery, books and entertainment media; therefore, our efficient management team have worked hard on merchandise, marketing and store expansion. During the first quarter, we have achieved our sales target. B2S is confident that “B2S Back to School” and events including B2S Expo 2009 and new store in Chonburi due to grand opening next moth, will push the company sale revenue up to 850 million Baht in the second quarter.”
