Bangkok--30 Apr--DTAC
dtac released its Q109 results showing an underlying service revenue growth of approximately 2% from previous quarter despite the current challenging economic situation. Furthermore, it added another 263,151 subscribers, hence bringing its total subscriber base at the end of the quarter to 18.9 million.
EBITDA grew by 8% QoQ to THB 4.8 billion due mainly to higher revenue and cost efficiency measures. In addition, net profit came in at THB 1.5 billion, up by 19% from last quarter.
CEO Tore Johnsen said, "We have put more focus on the quality of newly acquired subscribers, retention of our existing subscriber base, and the cost efficiency programs. At the same time, we also try to, at a minimum, maintain or increase our market share in terms of both subscriber and revenue. Although, uncertainties remain high for this year, we continue to generate a healthy operating cash flow and are still on track to meet the full year target of THB 12.0 billion”.
