Since 2002, it has been 7 years that Thailand Productivity Institute, an independent institute under Ministry of Industry, and Custom Asia Co., Ltd. take part in automobile industry with quantitative research on customer satisfaction for products and services of each car manufacturer, from the quality of car at first use, sales service and after sales service. The cross section is selected from nationwide users every year; and the result of surveying is the source of “THAILAND AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY AWARD”, called TAQA as its initial name.
Dr.Panich Laosirirat, Director of Thailand Productivity Institute — an independent institute under Ministry of Industry, revealed that “Thailand Productivity Institute, which is an organization under Ministry of Industry, today supports this award as objectives and processes of TAQA Award cohere wiyth the policy of Thailand Productivity Institute, which aims to apply productivity to develop organization’s potentiality — ability of automobile dealers in every aspect of organization management, includin production, sales and service. The winner of TAQA Award can be fully proud of their management ability because the score they get is directly voted by their end users. This award is not only an acceptance for automobile dealers in the field of quality and service, but also an opportunity to show what they have to improve and to know the customers’ reason for buying cars.”
Mr. Sukit Tanskul, Chief Executive Officer of Custom Asia Co., Ltd., said “Following economic situation, the award consideration in this year has been changed for customers and dealers receiving information more quickly. So, we separate the research into 2 parts.”
“The 1st part will be during May and July of every year, which we survey sales category. The 2nd part will be during September and November. This time we survey customer satisfaction about after sales service. In both part, we will survey personal cars and 1-ton commercial vehicles.”
“The TAQA Award is considered by the result of surveying around 3,000 representative samples nationwide, which is a large amount for a research. Therefore, the TAQA Award is a guarantee for automobile manufacturers and also assures customers in buying and receiving service from manufacturers. It is a strategy to activate manufacturers to increase ability of customer-capturing competition.” Mr.Sukit concluded.
