CS LoxInfo (CSL) announced its first quarter 2009 consolidated revenue of Baht 650 million and a consolidated net profit of Baht 59 million or Baht 0.10 per share. Moreover, CSL reported a net profit in separated financial statement of Baht 36 million or Baht 0.06 per share, comprising of a stand-alone net profit from operations of Baht 22 million and a dividend received from a subsidiary of Baht 14 million.
For Q1/2009 both Internet Access Services and Thailand YellowPages Businesses, had their revenues slightly decreased from Q4/2008. This was resulted from the economic downturn impact. Moreover, net profit from operations decreased by 17%, compared to the same period last year. (Q1/2009 = 78 MB vs. Q1/2008 = 94 MB)
For Internet Access Services business, the revenue form the corporate customer sector slightly grew from last quarter. Furthers, in anticipation of a weakened economy, CSL will place emphasis on efficient cost and expenses management; also control and focusing on maintaining the current customer base; furthermore expanding its market into segments that CSL has only competitive potential.
For the Thailand YellowPages Business, total revenue decreased by 7% compared to the same period last year due to a decrease of the sale of advertising space in 2009 Thailand YellowPages Books. This resulted from the slow down of sakes in the current economic situation. To compensate for the decline of selling advertising revenues, CSL will place emphasis on creating a new revenue stream line from consumers, vertical books and audiotex services. Incidentally, the revenue from selling advertising in the 2009 book of City YellowPages — “Samutprakarn” increased by 25% from last year.
