Thai Airways International Public Company Limited will be operating five weekly direct flights on the route Bangkok — Oslo v.v., utilizing Airbus A340-500 aircraft, effective as of 15th June 2009 onwards.
Mr. Pandit Chanapai, THAI’s Executive Vice President for Commercial said that, to celebrate the launch of THAI’s new route Bangkok-Oslo, starting 15 June 2009, a number of special promotions are made available, with Special Fares’ starting price on Economy Class at 25,805 Baht, Premium Economy 57,695 Baht and Royal Silk Class 100,645 Baht. Special priced tickets may be issued until 31 July 2009.
In addition, THAI’s Royal Orchid Plus also offers bonus mileage for its frequent flyer programme members. Those traveling on THAI’s Royal Silk Class will earn double mileage while members traveling in Premium Class will earn 1.5 times of the actual miles. There is also mileage redemption promotion, which members who redeem miles for Economy Class will be upgraded to Premium Class, and award redemption made in Premium Class will be upgraded to Royal Silk Class (Business Class). The promotion is valid until 31 August 2009.
THAI is the first airline in South East Asia to operate direct flights to Oslo, serving the travel’s needs between Thailand and Scandinavian destinations. As the airline’s 3rd destination, in addition to Copenhagen and Denmark, Oslo will add to THAI’s network in Scandinavian market, totaling to 19 flights per week. Flights to Oslo will operate five days per week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
