Dr. Apichit Lumlertpongpana, Managing Director of I.T.C. Group, the front runner in industrial refrigeration, freezing and cold storage in Thailand, revealed that from the achievement on the “2008 ASHRAE Technology Award” - industrial facilities or processes, which promote the image of Thailand, I.T.C. Group had been recently selected to win the 2008 National Outstanding Achievements Awardee for Science And Technology Research Development.
Apichit said that the award-winning project is the great achievement of the Thai-owned company and Thai engineers, who had designed the refrigeration system for food processing plant. These special design concepts were created in order to get the sustainable and energy saving operation and help reducing global warming.
“The project is the outstanding achievement we’re really proud of. It also brings reputation to Thailand and to make known the capabilities of the Thai people to the world community. It helps expanding opportunities of the Thai companies into the world market,” said Apichit.
The award presentation ceremony was graciously presided over by H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The 2008 National Outstanding Achievements Awardee has been created by the National Identity Committee, Office of the Permanent Secretary, by having a total of three companies, four persons and one project have been selected to receive the awards.
