Univentures backed by 4 major partners to launch “Park Ventures” project within 2011 Company appoints Thai Obayashi to handle construction following KASIKORNBANK approval for financial support worth 1.8 billion baht
Univentures Public Company Limited is going strong with its new 5-billion baht state-of-the-art “Park Ventures — The Ecoplex on Witthayu”, the world-class standard office building cum luxury hotel project, as Thai Obayashi is recently appointed as a main construction contractor overseeing 2 billion baht worth of installations. SEAFCO and Jardine Schindler (Thai), two leading names in construction, are also selected to handle the laying of foundation piles and set up of elevator systems respectively using advanced technology, quality materials and excellent creative designers to turn the project into the premium class combination of office building and world-class hotel. The project also receives more good news after KASIKORNBANK has approved the loan worth 1.8 billion baht to fuel the construction.
Ornruedi Na-Ranong, President of Univentures Public Company Limited, disclosed details of the progress of the Park Ventures project, whose construction plan was announced earlier in the year, saying the premium project of the grade A office building and 5-star hotel on the corner of Ploenchit - Witthayu junction already commenced construction. “We have appointed our major partner Thai Obayashi Corp., Ltd. as the main construction contractor with construction value of approximately 2 billion baht. SEAFCO PLC and Jardine Schindler (Thai) are selected to take responsibility for the laying of foundation piles and set up of elevator systems respectively. KASIKORNBANK is our sole creditor providing loan worth 1.8 billion baht to fuel this project along with our own investment, which will certainly allow this mega project to reach its completion within the projected timeframe,” she said.
“Park Ventures — The Ecoplex on Witthayu” project comprises spaces for premium offices and luxury 5-star hotel in a 33-story building, whose total areas include up to 81,400 square meters. From the 1st to the 21st floors, the space of around 28,000 square meters is designated as office space for rent, while areas from the 22nd to the 23rd floors are devoted to the 240-room high-end luxury 5-star hotel. Univentures as the project owner will assume management of the entire project. The hotel portion of the project will however be leased out to TCC Luxury Hotel and Resort Co., Ltd.
