Companies listed on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Market for Alternative Investment (mai) will join the Live Opportunity Day Webcast to broadcast their Q2/2009 operating performance for 12 consecutive days through www.set.or.th, during August 14-September 1.
“SET has expanded this channel to disseminate information on firms’ operating performance through the Live Opportunity Day Webcast, a live broadcast of companies meeting with investors (SET’s Opportunity Day program) via SET’s website www.set.or.th. The broadcast is for all targeted groups, including analysts, investors, general public, and the press. The program attracted so much attention that we expanded it to cover almost two weeks, from 9.00-17.00 hrs. We will include companies in every industry group, comprised of 37 SET-listed and 10 mai-listed firms, with a total market capitalization of over THB600 billion (approx. USD17.66 billion),” said SET Group Head, Issuer & Listing Chanitr Charnchainarong.
Nine firms joining this activity for the first time this year are Airports of Thailand PCL (AOT), DSG International (Thailand) PCL (DSGT), Modernform Group PCL (MODERN), Power Line Engineering PCL (PLE), Preuksa Real Estate PCL (PS), Salee Industry PCL (SALEE), Shin Corporation PCL (SHIN), Thai Optical Group PCL (TOG), and Union Petrochemical PCL (UKEM). Moreover, there will be new listings joining the activity, i.e., Halcyon Technology PCL (HTECH), Qualitech PCL (QLT), and Toyo-Thai Corporation PCL (TTCL).
During a test run of 24 firms on Live Opportunity Day Webcast, the site attracted 3,850 visitors, visiting the website for over 6,800 hits. The Live Opportunity Day Webcast gives all investors rapid, convenient, free and equal opportunity to information, no matter where they live. This activity also supports investor relations of listed companies. Visitors can download slide presentation and send questions to the presenter as if they were present in person, saving the time and cost of commuting.
