Siam Global House PCL will be listed on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) in the Commerce Sector, Services Industry Group and commence trading on August 19, 2009, using "GLOBAL" as its trading symbol, said Chief Marketing Officer, Issuer & Listing, Vichate Tantiwanich.
GLOBAL is a major retailer of building materials, home improvement products, home and garden decorative materials. Established in 1995, it now has seven branches located in Roi Et, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Chiang Mai, Rayong, Chonburi, and Nakorn Pathom, using the warehouse store format and the trade name “Global House.”
GLOBAL has a total paid-up capital of THB960 million (approx. USD28.20 million), consisting of 700 million existing common shares and 260 million capital increase shares, with a par value of THB1.00 each. At its initial public offering (IPO) on August 10-11 and 13, the company raised THB663 million (approx. USD19.48 million), by offering 260 million shares to the general public, 230 million shares to institutional investors, and 30 million shares to patrons at THB2.55 per share. The funds raised will be used to expand its branches in the central region, including Bangkok, and the northeast, and for working capital. Asset Pro Management Co., Ltd. was its financial advisor.
The firm’s dividend payment policy is to pay no less than 30% of net profits after legal reserves. Its IPO price reflects the company’s price/earning ratio (P/E) of 16.39, while the P/E ratio of the Commerce Sector on August 4, 2009 was at 17.53, or a discount of 7%.
GLOBAL’s major shareholders after the IPO are the Suriyawanakul group, Mr. Paitoon Taechadanai, and Mr. Kamol Aoewsiwikul, who hold 72.81%, 0.52% and 0.42%, respectively, of the company’s total shares.
