Ratchaburi Holding Announces 2009 Interim Dividend at BHT1.10/Share The payment will be made on September 11, 2009

Bangkok--18 Aug--Ratchaburi Holding Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL. announced the approval of the Board of Directors of the Company dated on August 17, 2009, to pay 2009 interim dividend at BHT1.10 per share on September 11, 2009 with a schedule of the closing date of shareholders register book on September 2, 2009. Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon, the President of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL said that the Board of Directors meeting yesterday (August 17, 2009) approved the payment of 2009 interim dividend at BHT 1.10 per share derived from the operating result of H1/2009, to the Company’s shareholders which have total of 1,450,000,000 shares. The payment totally amounts BHT1.595 billion in total equivalent to 40.9% of the 6-month net profit of the consolidated financial performance. The interim dividend is paid from 2 categories of the profit. The first portion which is BHT0.66 per share is paid from net income after 30% juristic person tax therefore, the dividend receivers are able to claim for tax credit, and the second portion which is 0.44 Baht per share, is paid from net income which is exempted for juristic person tax, whereas the dividend receivers are not entitled to claim for tax credit. From the Board of Directors of the Company meeting held on August 17, 2009, the interim dividend 2009 will be paid to shareholders on September 11, 2009 and the closing date of shareholders register book for the right to receive the interim dividend 2009 is scheduled to be on September 2, 2009. The investment projects under development are consisted of a 153.75-MW Nam Ngum 2’s Hydro Power Plant, a 110-MW Nam Ngum 3’s Hydro Power Plant, a 93-MW Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy’s Hydro Power Plant and a 751-MW Hongsa’s Power Plant in Lao PDR.
