River City Shopping Complex opens space areas of the 2nd floor, exhibited “City of Arts” during August 21 — October 31, 2009 at 10 a.m. — 8 p.m. on the 2nd floor of River City Shopping Complex, Charoen Krung 24.
Let’s see more of the 60 enchanted works of arts in several techniques such as oil and acrylic painting, woodcarving, mix-media, photos, etc. Each work of art reflects the beauty of several aspects in Thai societies — Thai culture, Thai architecture, Tour of natural source in Thailand, Buddhism such as acrylic paintings in series of “Natural Color” depicted the scenery of a forest in the northern part by Narate Kathong, admirer in nature trips in room no. 224, oil paintings by Sumed Kansumaso and oil and dust paintings of Thanapon Jantalui in series of “Buddhist Wisdom” in room no. 217, photos, mix media, and paintings in series of “Stream, Emotion, Beautiful Girl, and Love” implied to “a life in the city” by Panuwat Putpruek, Somkeat Kulwithsaved, Sompong Hongjan, Pramote Juntasaend, Arkara Nualaong in room no. 227 - 8, scultures by Chartchai Suwanchos and oil painting by Anuchit Krinkurab in series of “Lotus in Bangkok” in room no. 215.
Mix media and notable woodcarving of Suchart Sukna in room no. 222 such as woodcarvings in series of “mind, faith, and prestige” and the notable works of arts in series of “PhumPralung PhumPandhin” is passed on carving picture mixed with drawing, painting, and gilt. This masterpiece is focused on solving problems of the economic critical with the Sufficiency Economy’s Philosophy of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
