Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is delighted to present an authentic Thai cuisine matched with five great wines from Sileni Estates in New Zealand at the hotel’s Sala Rim Naam Thai Restaurant on Monday, 21 September 2009 (cocktails at 6.30 pm). Especially flying into Bangkok to personally introduce their finest wine selections is the Sileni Estates’ own Ms. Pip Austin. The five-course dinner is priced at Baht 2,648. — nett per person only.
The five-course menu created by the hotel’s own Executive Thai Chef Vichit Mukura comprises: Gaang Phuket Ob Samunprai (Roasted Phuket spiny lobster with Siamese herbs and chilli lime sauce); Yaam Som-O (Herbed pomelo salad with crispy garlic, shallot, peanut, coconut cream and grilled Ayutthaya river prawns); Nuea Yaang Khow Kau (Grilled marinated corn fed Angus beef sirloin with roasted dried chilli, ground toasted rice and sweet and sour red curry sauce); Gapi Kua Pla Doog Food (Curried shrimp paste with coconut cream accompanied with deep-fried fluffy crispy sea bass and vegetables) and many many more..
