Emirates In The Top Flight for Next Year’s Thailand Open

Bangkok--1 Oct--Spark Communications Bolstering an already impressive portfolio of leading international golf tournaments, Emirates has announced that it will be the Official Airline of the $500,000 Thailand Open. Indian star Jyoti Randhawa will be defending his title at the Thai Country Club, from 11th to 14th March, as the tournament moves to Bangkok after a successful stint at the Laguna Phuket Golf Club. Khalid Bardan, Area Manager for Thailand and Indochina, said: “In Thailand, Emirates continues to take a leadership position in supporting international sporting events such as the Thailand Open. “Golf in Thailand is a very popular pastime for both locals and visitors and sponsoring tournaments such as the Thailand Open provides us with a terrific platform to build awareness of the Emirates brand.” In addition to sponsoring next year’s Thailand Open, Emirates this week strengthened its commitment to the sport by signing up to sponsor a further three events - the Barclays Singapore Open, Australian Open Championship and the Hero Honda Indian Open. Emirates is now the Official Airline at 13 tournaments spanning the six continents it flies non-stop to from Dubai.
