Bangkok--6 Oct--ScottAsia Communications
New tour operator, Khiri Voyages, is offering tourists a trip with a difference to Ubon Ratchathani and southern Laos. A four-day/three-night nature and merit-making trip 22-26 October will include a live performance by Thai folk band Caravan. Friday 23 October is a public holiday in Thailand.
Tourists are being invited to join the entourage which will include Thai SEA Write authors as well as the musicians who are friends of Khiri Voyages founder Kritsana Harasarn, a former poet.
On the Friday morning, which is King Chulalongkorn Day, guests will enjoy breakfast in Ubon Ratchathani followed by merit making at a temple, lunch and shopping on the Thai-Lao border.
In southern Laos, guests will enjoy the Dao Rueng market and stay in Pakse's newest five-star hotel, the Arawan. There will be a traditional khantoke dinner followed by a mini concert by Caravan.
Days three and four will be a celebration of nature. There will be visits to Lee Phee and Tad Fane waterfalls as well as Tad Yueng and Wat Pu.
The price per person is 7,999 baht.
Guests can make it a 5-day trip by paying 1,999 baht more and departing Bangkok on Wednesday 21 October. They will be able to enjoy the grand opening of Khiri Voyages Ubon Ratchathani office on 22 October followed by shopping in walking street, a mini concert by Caravan, and an overnight in Ubon's Sunee Hotel.
Both groups then meet up for the main part of the trip to Pakse and Southern Laos starting 23 October.
Tourists on the trip can also opt to travel between Bangkok and Ubon by plane or train.
