Thai Airways International Public Company Limited will introduce the new route, Phuket — Hong Kong effective 25 October 2009 onwards.
Mr. Pruet Boobphakam, THAI Executive Vice President, Commercial Department, said THAI will start to operate a direct flight, Phuket — Hong Kong from 25 October 2009 onwards to support passenger’s demand on this route, where there is high demand for travel in early 2010.
The new route Phuket — Hong Kong is expected to earn revenue for THAI in the new upcoming winter traffic program (October 2009 — March 2010), with 3 flights per week operating on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, utilizing Airbus 330-300 aircraft with seat capacity of 305 seats (42 on Royal Silk Class and 263 on Economy Class). The return flight routed Hong Kong — Phuket will also operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, as follows:
