Bangkok--16 Oct--PR & Associates Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) hosts the “6th International Education Expo 2009” a grand event featuring 214 representatives from the world’s leading academic institutions gathered from almost 30 countries. The Expo provides information directly to prospective students looking to further their studies, ranging from certificate levels to doctoral programs. The Expo will also accentuate the diverse range of academic disciplines on offer in both traditional and new subjects, such as Fashion & Accessories Design, Architecture, Science, etc. The 6th International Education Expo 2009 will be staged between October 31 and November 1, 2009 at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon Shopping Complex. Mrs. Benchawan Srangnitra, Secretary-General of OCSC, reveals that: “One of OCSC’s missions is to roll out support for students and ensure that the public have comprehensive access to overseas education and sources of scholarship. Each year, OCSC endows qualified students with government grants and support for those who further their studies abroad, through government scholarships, other scholarships and private funding. Therefore, the activity that we endorse for this mission is to spearhead the annual ‘International Education Expo 2009’ which has been inaugurated since 2004 and is now in it’s 6th year.” This year, OCSC organizes the “6th International Education Expo 2009” with the objective of providing a center of information on further education overseas for interested students and the public at large. Valuable information is delivered directly by representatives of educational institutions and embassies from various countries. This expo will also serve as a place to exchange knowledge and expertise in academic consultancy services for related agencies dealing with the care of Thai students studying abroad. Moreover, the event will promote collaboration among government and private organizations within the country to enhance their missions relating to overseas education. Significantly, the International Education Expo 2009 is aimed at promoting the role of OCSC in the development of human resources potential for the government in order to benefit the country in the future. This educational fair will welcome a number of renowned institutions from all over the globe to exchange thoughts and provide information on overseas education, and to create collaborative networks with Thai institutions, furthering the effort to enhance the education system of the country. Mrs. Benchawan states that: “For many years, OCSC’s scholarship alumni of different academic disciplines ranging from Arts, Science, Laws and more, have utilized their knowledge and expertise to generate benefits and enhance the reputation of the country in countless government agencies that they work for. As a result, OCSC is hoping to see good feedback and interest in the educational expo this year, given how well-received it has been in past years.
