J.D. Pools Group partners with Autumn Solar, a leading supplier and installer of swimming pools of all types from Australia, in a joint venture to double their manufacturing facility in Phuket to 10,000 SQM and export their products to the global market. They also plan to expand their channels to cover all market segments, including private homes, hotels, resorts, residential projects, condominiums and contractors with a projected sale target of 1 billion Baht in 2010.
Mr. Thanusak Phuengdech, Managing Director of J.D. Pools 2004 (Thailand) Co., Ltd., discloses today that J.D. Pools will invest in a joint venture with Autumn Solar Pty Ltd., a leading suppler and installer of swimming pools from Australia, to manufacture salt chlorinator, solar heating system, under water light, pool cover, etc. for sales in the international markets (90%) and domestic market (10%). The 50 million Baht joint venture is aimed to relocate the manufacturing base of Autumn Solar to Thailand and further invest to double its existing manufacturing facility of 5,000 SQM in Phuket to 10,000 SQM so that it could serve its projected sale target of 1,000 million Baht in 2010.

According to market statistics, swimming pool market in 2009 has a combined value of about 2 billion Baht with an average annual growth rate of 10-15%. Currently, the company has a market share of approximately 600 million Baht. In order to serve the rising demand in tandem with improving economy, which is expected to continue from 4Q09 through to 2010-11, additional investment and capacity expansion are made. As a result, better operating results are expected. With the company’s aggressive strategy, including capacity expansion, franchisee recruitment, overseas market expansion, as well as the introduction of new product lines to cover all market segments, e.g. private homes, hotels, resorts, residential projects, condominiums and contractors, J.D.
