Bangkok’s legions of regular fitness enthusiasts are to be offered free ‘preview’ sessions in Lumpini Park from 24 to 26 November 2009 at 5.30 — 7.00pm. This teaser program is of the upcoming Asia Fitness Convention to take place from 27 to 29 November 2009 at CentaraGrand & Bangkok Convention Centre Centralworld, Bangkok.
The special preview Lumpini sessions organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health are open to the general public for free.
The 24th November session is a special yoga class ‘Yoga for Runners’. This session enhances runners’ balance and musculoskeletal system to give them more strength and flexibility and includes breath-control principles and techniques. The class is led by Jess Gronholm, CRUNCH’s National Yoga Director from New York.
On 25th November, Zumba, the irresistible Dance craze which has hit the rest of the world will be in Lumpini Park. 35 million people around the world have ditched the workout to join the Zumba Party! Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music and dance styles certain to appeal to the host of Lumpini aerobic regulars. It will be led by Tanya Beardsley, Zumba’s world class choreographer and presenter from the United States.
Based on the celebrated FAME musical and television series and its iconic “I want to live forever” theme, the FAME Dance Party led by Marc Santamaria, Regional Director of CRUNCH New York is expected to bring a huge turnout of enthusiasts on 26th November.
These sessions will allow participants to get a taste of and to reap the benefits from some of the most exciting new fitness trends worldwide in the familiar setting of beautiful Lumpini Park.
The conference itself will host more than 80 workshops, workouts and seminar sessions to suit all interests and needs. Organised by Fitness Innovations Thailand, the three-day conference is the first in Southeast Asia to bring together such a wide and comprehensive selection of international fitness and conditioning expertise and equipment under one roof at one time. Special 1, 2 or 3 day passes are available for Yoga Lovers and Group X Groupies (Thailand residents only). These passes will allow enthusiasts to experience all the new trends with workouts that start at 5:30 PM and finish at 7:00 PM.
