Siam Winery’s portfolios sweep medals at FBAT International Wine Challenge 2009
Siam Winery, the producer of Monsoon Valley Wines, the leading premium Thai wine brand, recently received tremendous recognition when it garnered a total of 10 medals awarded at this year’s FBAT International Wine Challenge 2009.
The International Wine Challenge 2009 is a highly respected wine competition, organized annually in Thailand for five consecutive years by the Food & Beverage Association of Thailand (FBAT), in conjunction with Bangkok Exhibition Services. The event encourages all importers and distributors of wine in Thailand to submit the best of their collections, which are tasted and judged according to their retail pricing categories, with two categories: Premium (up to 600 Bath) and Super Premium (over 600 Baht). The panel of judges included experts and professionals from Thailand’s wine, hotel and restaurant industries.
In the Premium category Siam Winery was the recipient of six silver medals for their Monsoon Valley Shiraz 2007; Kookaburra’s Head Laughing Red 2008; Mont Clair Bin 5 2008, Mont Clair Bin 6 2009; Ch?teau Vend?me Prestige Rouge 2007; and the Lion’s Cape Coastal Red 2008. Siam Winery also won a bronze medal for their Monsoon Valley White Shiraz 2009 in the super premium category, as well as additional bronze medals in the Premium category for their Monsoon Valley Shiraz 2008, Ch?teau Vend?me Prestige Blanc 2007 and their Lion’s Cape Coastal White 2009.
