Riverside Auction House together with River City Shopping Complex will be held “The Exclusive Antique Auction” on December 12, 2009 starting from 1 p.m. on the 4th floor, the Exhibition Hall of River City Shopping Complex, Chareon Krung 24
Prior to the auction, interested bidders will have an opportunity to view the auctioned lots on offer at the same venue during November 26 — December 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. — 5 p.m. The magnificent treasures include fine blue & white porcelains, polychrome and monochrome porcelains, polychrome and monochrome ceramics of the Far East; pottery and bronze in several styles, Southeast Asian silver objects d’art and ornaments; wood carving; and paintings as well as fashionable contemporary jewelry creations in gold and white gold settings.
Some of the interesting items to be auctioned include the following:
1. A blue and white porcelain “GU” vase painted with a stiff leaves design; Diameter 21cm, Height 46.5 cm, Chinese - Ching, Late 19th century.
2. An ivory figure of Jesus; Diameter 10 cm, Height 35 cm, Europe, Late 19th century.
3. A pair of polychrome porcelain vases painted with noblemen pattern; Diameter 24 cm, Height 40 cm, Chinese — Ching, Late 19th century.
4. A group of blue and white tea cups painted with Chinese characters; Diameter 8 cm, Height 11 cm, Chinese, 19th century.
5. A blue and white porcelain tulip vase painted with altar offering set; Diameter 17 cm, Height 25 cm, Chinese — Ching, Late 19th century.
6. A set of polychrome porcelain jarlets with gold finials painted with a continuous scrolling floral pattern on gold black; Thai — Ayutthaya, 19th century.
The preview and the auction are open to the public, free of charge. Accompanying auction catalogs with full-color illustrations of important lots are also available during the viewing hours.
