To welcome the year 2010 and to celebrate the 50th anniversary in the year 2010, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited creates ‘A Journey of Silk’, telling the story of its journey as Thailand’s National Carrier from 1960. THAI’s A Journey of Silk calendar is now available at all branches of THAI shops at Tel 02-545-1103-6. (on weekdays from 08.30 a.m. to 04.30 p.m.)
To celebrate the commemorative moment with all Thais, THAI’s A Journey of Silk calendar is proud to bringing Thai touch to the world. Since its first departure on journey from Bangkok to Hong Kong on May 1st, 1960, THAI impressed the world with Thai touches, Thai smile and ‘Wai’, the gesture that embodies the warmth and gracefulness of Thai culture. The featured destinations are parts of THAI growing network starting from May 1st, 1960 until now. For example, the famous Wat Arun better known as the Temple of the Dawn, in January page one of the best landmarks of Bangkok as THAI’s home base. Osaka, Japan shown in April page as THAI’s first flight to Osaka in 1964 connecting Thailand with the Kansai region. Bodhgaya, India shown in July page as the Bodhgaya direct flight in 2006, the most visited pilgrimage route among Buddhist which is listed as a world heritage site. Each destination in THAI’s calendar 2010 is decorated with silk, a THAI symbol in a graceful graphic style. The calendar is also a comprehensive archive of THAI 50 years history as Thailand’s National Carrier and one of the world class airlines covering the world with extensive network over 70 cities.
‘A Journey of Silk’ calendar is now available in both desktop and wall-mount versions which depicts THAI’s continuing growth through our 50 years to come.
