Bangkok--8 Jan--The Westin Grande Sukhumvit
The yellowtail is one of the most highly regarded sushi fish and considered a luxury ingredient in Japanese cuisine. At its best during the winter, the light red and richly flavoured flesh can be enjoyed at Kisso throughout January.
Kisso, the signature restaurant at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok will offer a special selection of yellowtail dishes created by Chef Hiroaki Ikeda and his culinary team. The refined cuisine includes buri to yasai sauter karami miso sauce, pan-fried buri yellowtail and vegetable with spicy miso sauce, buri miso yuwan yaki, grilled buri yellowtail with soy sauce and sweet soy bean paste, and hamachi yamakake don, raw hamachi yellowtail fish and grated Japanese yam on steamed rice served with miso soup and pickles.
Other highlights of Chef Ikeda’s inspired menu are hamachi, kyuri, avocado makisushi, raw hamachi yellow tail fish, cucumber and avocado roll sushi with sesame sauce, and hamachi lemon pepper steak, pan-fried lemon peppered hamachi yellowtail fish with soy butter sauce.
Kisso features seven private tatami rooms which can accommodate from between four to 20 persons. A teppanyaki counter and sushi bar turns cooking into theatre, creating a dramatic up close and personal dining experience. Guests can watch as their meal is prepared in front of them in an exciting display of dexterity and creativity. Selected as “Thailand Best Restaurant” for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 by readers of Thailand Tatler, Kisso is the place for Japanese cuisine in Bangkok.
Chef Ikeda’s special selection of hamachi yellowtail fish dishes is available at Kisso throughout January.
