BANGKOK, THAILAND: Oliver Wells has been appointed Multi-Property General Manager of Courtyard by Marriott Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 and Madi Paidi Bangkok, Autograph Collection, effective September 1, 2026. In this role, he will lead both properties and oversee their strategic direction and overall performance.
With extensive experience across commercial and operational functions, Oliver brings a strong understanding of Thailand's hospitality market and a collaborative approach to leadership. Throughout his career, he has focused on strengthening market positioning, identifying new business opportunities, developing high-performing teams and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Oliver began his hospitality career in Phuket, where he gained experience across commercial and operational roles. He later moved to Bangkok to serve as Multi-Property General Manager of a specialist networking and conference organization, further developing his passion for leadership, team development and the delivery of industry-leading events.
In 2018, Oliver joined JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa as Director of Sales before being promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing. During his eight-year tenure, he played a key role in strengthening the resort's position as one of Thailand's leading luxury and MICE destinations.
Under his commercial leadership, JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa was named the No. 1 Best Beach + Island Resort in Thailand at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific for three consecutive years.
Oliver was also instrumental in several major strategic initiatives and launches, including the opening of JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort Suites in 2022 and the development of the pioneering 27-acre JW Garden in 2024. His contributions earned him several accolades, including the Marriott International Elite Award for Sales Special Achievement Leader of the Year in 2023 and recognition as a Top Performer in 2025.
Oliver will oversee two distinctive properties, each with its own identity.
