The gastronomic indulgence complete with wine pairing from a selection of Australian Wines at Baht 2,500 plus tax and service charge per person on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 19.00 hours onwards.
Chef Allan Parrish; a New Zealander emigrated to Australia at the completion of his training in 1991 and worked at Hyatt Sanctuary Cove followed by a move to Sydney’s Park Hyatt working under chef Rainer Becker of Zuma and Rokka fame.
Ritz Carlton and London’s Park Lane Hotels followed before he accepted a role as Executive chef at Bistro Mars with iconic Australian chef Neil Perry of Rockpool.
In 2007 came the opening of the Sydney and Melbourne Qantas first class lounges again with Neil Perry where he currently works.
This new venture between Accors luxury brand Sofitel and Qantas, has redefined the benchmark in Luxury lounges. Equipped with full a la carte service in the restaurant averaging a staggering 16,000 covers per month in Sydney and 3,500 in Melbourne certainly keeps Allan busy!
The philosophy behind the food is to give Qantas customers a high end product showcasing the finest Australian produce and wines before they fly.
The Lounge was awarded the title of best First Class Lounge in the world in its first year of operation.
