Bangkok--20 Jan--The Westin Grande Sukhumvit
Combining traditional cooking techniques with contemporary creativity and new ingredients, modern Japanese offers diners a visual feast and taste sensations.
In January at Kisso, Chef Ikeda introduces a balanced selection of exquisite modern dishes that offer a new perspective on Japanese cuisine. Diners at the multi-award-winning restaurant can enjoy dishes such as pan-fried beef sirloin topped with poached seafood with crispy garlic and nuts, delicate grilled pacific cod fish with sake lees and green chilli soya bean paste, succulent pan-fried de boned chicken leg and vegetable with wa-fu sauce and much more.
The chef’s fusion desserts include green tea cake roll in sticky rice sheet with mango sauce, and strawberry and cream roll in sticky rice sheet with green tea sauce.
Kisso features seven private tatami rooms which can accommodate from between four to 20 persons. A teppanyaki counter and sushi bar turns cooking into theatre, creating a dramatic up close and personal dining experience. Guests can watch as their meal is prepared in front of them in an exciting display of dexterity and creativity. Selected as “Thailand Best Restaurant” for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 by readers of Thailand Tatler, Kisso is the place for Japanese cuisine in Bangkok.
