The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) donated one million baht (USD30,000) from SET Foundation to help earthquake victims in Haiti. SET Chairman Sompol Kiatphaibool, representing the SET board, executives and employees, had made the donation through a center set up by the Thai government for this purpose.
“The disaster very severely impacted the lives and assets of millions of people, and many are still waiting for help. SET, as an organization that has an important role to drive the country’s economy, gladly participates with the Thai government and Thai people in helping those victims,” he said.
SET has also invited its employees to join this worthy effort to help the Haitians in their hour of need.
