Bangkok--8 Feb--Bleho Media
Thailand behind China, India, Turkey in computer jewelry design 8 February, 2010. Bangkok, Thailand— InterCAD 2010, the International CAD/CAM Jewelry Symposium, will be held 22-24 February at the British Club Bangkok, to showcase the world’s leading computer-assisted jewelry design companies. The aim is to make Thai jewelry designers and companies more competitive internationally through computer-assisted jewelry design technologies.
At InterCAD 2010, Thai jewelry designers, sales managers and shop owners will get hands-on experience with the latest computer-based CAD/CAM jewelry design technology.
"Thai jewelry design is popular around the world but Thai jewelry designers lose business opportunities because they are slow to switch from hand-designed to computer-based jewelry design,” says Charles Berman, Managing Director of Bermark Design Ltd., a Thai jewelry design and CAD/CAM specialist company, and organizer of InterCAD 2010. “Right now, Thailand is 4th in the world in computer-assisted jewelry design—behind China, India and Turkey,” he says.
“Bringing the world’s leading CAD/CAM jewelry design companies to InterCAD 2010 will let Thai jewelry designers and business owners learn how CAD/CAM technology can save them time and money, and make them more competitive and profitable,” says Mr. Berman.
The International CAD/CAM Jewelry Symposium (InterCAD 2010) brings together speakers from top international suppliers JewelCAD, Matrix, RhinoGold, 3Design, SensAble, Materialise, Solidscape, 3D Systems, Revo , Roland and Indutherm. InterCAD 2010 also includes one-on-one workshops by jewelry design professionals from Thai companies Bermark Design, Mentel, Comgraph, Nurbs Factor and Protech Transfer.
