Bangkok--11 Mar--Hill & Knowlton
New venues at Thai IT malls to highlight the benefits of using genuine software and offer expert training and support to Microsoft partners and customers in Thailand.
Microsoft (Thailand) Limited has today launched its first-ever ‘Microsoft Experience Gallery’ at IT Mall, Fortune Town in Bangkok, marking the first in a series of new sites to be located at major IT retail centers in Bangkok and Chiang Mai that are designed to bring Microsoft closer to its customers and partners.
Each Microsoft Experience Gallery will showcase the latest Microsoft software and hardware in action, with live demo booths where customers can get hands-on experience with Microsoft products before buying. Trained Microsoft experts will also be on hand to offer professional advice and free training and support for both potential and existing Microsoft customers.
“For a long time Thai consumers have been asking us where they can find out more about Microsoft’s products before committing to buying them,” said Patama Chantaruck, Managing Director, Microsoft (Thailand) Limited. “Just as we would not buy an outfit without trying it on first, I believe that our customers deserve to try out IT software and hardware before purchasing, so the idea behind the Microsoft Experience Gallery is very simple — it’s about putting the consumer first. By highlighting the real benefits of using genuine software, we want to encourage more people to take advantage of the full benefits available to them from Microsoft. For example, when a customer buys a genuine copy of Windows 7, they are not simply purchasing a software product — they are also gaining access to comprehensive customer support and face-to-face training from a professional team that can help them get the most out of their PC experience.”
“Following the success of the Windows 7 launch which saw an unprecedented number of general consumers participating in the launch event at Siam Paragon, we feel that this is the right time for Microsoft Thailand to reach out and engage more closely with consumers. Indeed the opening of this first Microsoft Experience Gallery marks a key investment for Microsoft Thailand in FY11 as part of our ongoing commitment to encouraging the use of genuine software in Thailand through a combination of education, retail and partner channels,” concluded Patama Chantaruck.
The Microsoft Experience Gallery is also an effort by Microsoft to support its partners operating in IT malls, since customers will be advised on where they can purchase genuine software from official Microsoft sales partners. Moreover, partner staff will also be able to take advantage of the wealth of expertise on offer simply by visiting the site or by getting involved in special training sessions and ongoing Microsoft activities and promotions taking place at the Microsoft Experience Gallery.
Consumers who are interested to get hands-on experience with the latest Microsoft hardware and software products can visit the Microsoft Experience Gallery on the 3rd floor at IT Mall, Fortune Town in Bangkok. Over the coming months, Microsoft is in the midst of negotiating with retailers & building owners to set-up similar Experience Galleries at other locations across the country.
