KBank will look after your home during Songkran, free of charge, anywhere in Thailand

Bangkok--17 Mar--KBank Rest assured while you travel during Songkran. Aiming to become the bank where customers can leave all their matters in our hands, KBank will insure your home against theft and fire during the Songkran holidays, free of charge. This campaign is to celebrate the 80-percent annual growth of the Bancassurance business. Registration will begin March 19. KBank Executive Vice President Krisada Lamsam announced the launch of the “KBank Looks After Your Home” campaign during the Songkran holidays, when a number of Thais travel for the purposes of visiting their relatives and tourism. During this period, people can be anxious over the security of their homes and assets against theft and fire. This campaign reaffirms the Bank’s intention to become a leader in providing integrated services for individual customers under the “Leave Everything In Our Hands” campaign. During the “KBank Looks After Your Home” campaign, coverage of up to 100,000 Baht and 10,000 Baht will be provided for damages caused by fire and theft, respectively, at no charge. Interested persons, whether or not they are current KBank customers, can file their applications at any KBank branch nationwide beginning on March 19. A coverage period of 10 consecutive days can be chosen in the period of April 1 — 30, 2010. Eligible applicants shall have their domiciles in Thailand, as the owners or family members or residents of the insured residences where they are regularly living at. The residence shall be a brick house or half-timber house. One house can obtain one insurance right, borne by Muang Thai Insurance Co., Ltd. In case of incurred damages, claims for compensation can be made as soon as the incidents are reported via tel. no. 1484. Mr. Krisada added that this campaign would allow people to rest assured of their homes’ security while traveling during the Songkran festival, which is the festival of happiness of the Thai people. Through this service, the Bank aims to express our appreciation to our customers for their support of our Bancassurance activities, as well as provide an opportunity for those who are not yet our customers to try our high-quality service, in line with our strategy to win peoples’ hearts. The Bank expects 100,000 homes to be covered by this campaign. As for the Bancassurance segment of KBank, the business has reported continued growth. The premiums of new customers during the past three years, 2007 — 2009, have increased more than 80 percent per year, of which the first-year premiums accounted for 17.385 Billion Baht. From this positive response, the Bank has targeted an amount of premiums in 2010 at 10 Billion Baht, or a rise of 120 percent from 2009.
