Sofitel Bangkok Silom is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christophe L.M. Caron, Vice President of Sofitel South East Asia & India as the new General Manager of the hotel.
Mr. Caron will take overall responsibility for operating the Sofitel Bangkok Silom, including the hotel’s operational planning, Sales & Marketing strategy, promotional synergies and day-to-day hotel operations.
A French native, Mr. Caron began his career with Accor group in the early 1980’s in a range of Accor’s multi-brand group in France and West Africa as well as Sofitels in Brazil and France. He has also joined with HMC group hotels in the Caribbean as the Hotel General Manager & Regional Manager.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Caron was promoted as the Vice President, Sofitel South East Asia & India based in Bangkok with his extensive experience in hospitality and service operations since August 2008. Previously in 2005, he served as the Director of Operations Accor Hospitality Middle East based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to direct multiple brands operations in 48 hotels from economy to luxury with a specific focus on Sofitel five-star repositioning. Other than that, in 2007, he also supervised the opening of one of the most luxurious hotels in the region and the top five hotels in MENA region, The Palace the Old Town Sofitel.
In his spare moments, Mr.Caron enjoys sailing, playing tennis and golf, travelling and architecture & interior design as well as spending time with his family. He was married and has three beloved children.
