Mr. Christophe Caron, Vice President of Sofitel South East Asia & India and General Manager of Sofitel Bangkok Silom, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christian Schlegel as the new Hotel Manager.
Mr. Schlegel will assist the General Manager in taking overall responsibility for operating the Sofitel Bangkok Silom, in particular with the hotel’s operational planning, Marketing efforts, promotional synergies and day-to-day hotel operations as well as completing successfully the rebranding of the property with the new Sofitel Luxury Hotels standards.
A Swiss-Finnish native, Mr. Schlegel started his hotel career in 1994. He has a dominant experience in Food & Beverage as well as an extensive knowledge of Finance & Accounting, Rooms Division and Human Resources, Revenue Management with luxury properties in both Europe and South America. In addition to his operation performances, he is very well-versed with Asian culture and traditions for having worked in South East Asia since 2000.
Prior to his appointment, he was the Resident Manager of Sofitel Centara Grand Resort & Villas Hua-Hin. Prior to that, he worked as the Resident Manager of Sofitel Phokeethra Krabi Resort & Spa in charge of pre-opening set up of the resort operation and implementing Sofitel Luxury Hotels brand standards throughout the resort.
