Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) begins construction of THAI Catering Facility in Krabi International Airport in Southern Thailand.
Mr. Teerapol Chotichanapibal, Managing Director of Catering Department, recently presided as president over the religious ceremony for the start of construction of the THAI Catering Facility, which is expected to be completed near November 2010.
The catering facility had earlier received board approval of 34 million Thai baht for its construction, with a building area of 1,100 square meters on a three-rai plot of land (or nearly half a hectare). The facility’s capacity is designed to produce 1,250 meals per day just for customer airlines.
Starting from November 2010, with the completion of the Krabi facility, THAI expects to serve four customer airlines — Nok Air, Finn Air, TUIfly, and Thomas Cook Airlines.
