DEP joined forces with Thai Frozen Foods Association (TFFA) plans for the 2nd Thailand Frozen Food and Seafood’ exhibition to be held as part of THAIFEX — World of food ASIA 2010 event is scheduled to take place at Muang-Thong-Thani, on June 30th—July 4th, 2010. The exhibition will highlight the reasons why frozen food products from Thailand are widely popular around the world.
Mrs. Srirat Rastapana Director General of Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, stated that, the world-class capabilities of Thai frozen food and seafood business will further emphasize their significant roles in the business that generates over 100 Billion Baht worth of export revenue for Thailand every year. As well as, to keep the momentum of success, Thai Frozen Foods Association will hold its 2nd ‘Thailand Frozen Food and Seafood’ exhibition to present the packed with interesting and useful information for business entrepreneurs, food processing operators and importers. The topics cover manufacturing, international standard processing, well-designed, clean and hygienic packaging.
As a highlight of ‘Thailand Frozen Food and Seafood’ exhibition, TFFA will set to be even grander than its predecessor. The exhibition area has expanded to 2,268 sqm., while the number of exhibitors will increase to 64 who will occupy as many as 252 booths. While representatives of members of the ASEAN SEAFOOD FEDERATION from Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Brunei and Thailand will also join in with the exhibition by showcasing their products at the ASEAN PAVILION.
Another highlight for visitors on Trade Days is the electrifying ‘COOKING DEMONSTRATION’ in which many master chefs will be invited to show their mesmerizing talents. An interesting, is that the chefs will cook all-international dishes, utilizing only local ingredients, so as to present that quality ingredients from Thailand can be used in food preparation of many countries and cultures.
On the Public Days, July 3rd—4th, there will be a special ‘Seafood Cooking Contest’ for members of the public to participate in. The raw materials and ingredients to be used at the contest can be selected from the products of participating exhibitors to help promote frozen seafood products.
