Bangkok--11 Jun--Star PR
British Airways has announced that all British Airways flights between Bangkok and London operated according to its regular schedule during Unite’s third round of scheduled industrial action and during recent political unrest in the country.
Flights from Bangkok to London continue to operate as normal with strong forward demand from travellers.
These are as follows:
BA10 and BA7311* from Bangkok to London Heathrow daily
BA09 and BA7312* from London Heathrow to Bangkok daily
Neil Ager, Country Manager Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia, Qantas & British Airways commented, “Our Bangkok to London flights have remained unaffected during the period of industrial action and political unrest. Demand for flights continues to be very strong with many Thai travellers planning trips to the UK and beyond over the summer months. ”
British Airways remains hopeful that thousands of cabin crew will ignore Unite’s strike call. During the final phase of strikes from June 5 to June 9, the airline was able to fly more than 75% per cent of its customers who are booked to fly during this time period. It intends to run a full programme at Gatwick and London City. At Heathrow, it operated more than 80 per cent of the longhaul flights and more than 60 per cent of shorthaul.
*Operated by Qantas.
